Papillon is french for butterfly, which the face and ears of this little dog should resemble. Papillons originated in Belgium. They are long haired , usually white with colored patches.
Papillons can be somewhat reserved around strangers. They are lovable, affectionate, playful little dogs eager to learn. They generally get along well with children and other pets. Regular brushing is required.
